KatzPascale – Mother (Single)

For fans of neo-classical music, leftfield songwriting, or anyone curious about how much world two instruments can build when they really listen to each other.
Start

KatzPascale are a New York duo formed by Sammi Katzmann and Jenna Pascale, working with cello, saxophone, voice, loops and effects somewhere between neo-classical, post-punk and anti-pop.

MOTHER does a lot with very little. A cello and a saxophone seem to move around each other in the fog, calling, answering, almost missing each other, then somehow finding the same path again. Just listen to those counter melodies.

It feels made for the commute back home after a long day. Like the bit of space your brain needs to process whatever the day was.

It’s eight minutes long, and you won’t find a TikTok transition/drop. Because this song is a trip. And like all good trips, it needs time to take you somewhere.
